Ton van der Giessen

CEO, Van Werven Plastic Recycling

Ton van der Giessen started in the waste and recycling business in 1980. In recent years, he held various management positions at Van Gansewinkel (current Renewi) and SITA (current SUEZ). Since 2011 he has been CEO of Van Werven.


Over the past 10 years, Van Werven Plastic Recycling has expanded from a regional player to an international company with several locations in Europe. 


In addition to his function at Van Werven, he is also chairman of BRBS Recycling, vice chairman of the Supervisory Board Holland Circular Hotspot and a member of the board of TLN (Waste Logistics).
