Venetia Spencer joined as Secretary General of PCEP in January 2019. Her role is to deliver PCEP’s mission - to advance the circular economy by increasing the reuse and recycling of polyolefin based products, and the use of recycled polyolefin as raw material.
A European value chain initiative, PCEP aims to stimulate market, system and technological developments thereby ensuring the long-term sustainability of polyolefin products.
Venetia previously led the environment and energy team at Burson Cohn & Wolfe Brussels, a global public affairs and strategic corporate communications consultancy. For more than 10 years she advised companies, trade associations, civil society, and EU institutions how to identify the solution to their challenge, engage with each other and successfully communicate their stories. Prior to consultancy she worked in the European Parliament.
Passionate about the environment, science-based policy, and communications, Venetia has worked on a broad range of environmental issues in European and Global fora. She holds a degree in Physics from Imperial College, London.
