PCEP welcomes the new Board of Directors, the new President, Vice-President and Treasurer

At the 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) celebrated in Brussels, the members of the Polyolefin Circular Economy Platform (PCEP) have elected the new Board of Directors, who will run PCEP for a two-year mandate (2023-2025).

The new Board reflects PCEP’s commitment to achieving a more balanced and diverse representation of the polyolefin value chain. Furthermore, it is a truly international team!

The new Board now has representatives from five producers (LyondellBasell, Braskem, Repsol,Versalis and INEOS) three converters (ALPLA, Amcor and Thrace Plastics), one recycler (Van Werven) and one affiliate (CHEP).

During the AGM, PCEP has also nominated the new PCEP President, Volker Glöckner (ALPLA), the new Vice-President, Ruediger Klein (LyondellBasell) and the new Treasurer, Alberto Chiozzi (Braskem).

President Volker Glöckner commented on his nomination and on the new Board: I would like to thank you all for your trust in the new Board and in me. We are going through one of the biggest transformations in our industry with great challenges but also great opportunities. Together we can shape the future of the circular economy for Polyolefins and make a difference.

PCEP’s Secretary General, Paolo Bochicchio, added “we warmly welcome the newly appointed Board members, whose expertise and visions will enrich the work of PCEP. On behalf of PCEP, I would like to express our gratitude to the outgoing Board members, whose invaluable dedication and comitment in our Board over the years have enabled PCEP to achieve remarkable results”.

As we welcome our new Board members, we also say goodbay to five long-standing one:

Karl Hagspiel (ALPLA), Christopher McArdle (Borealis), Pedro López (DOW), Marc Jamin (Sabic) and Tim Lintjens (Cabka Group). The Board and the Secretariat wishes to thank the outgoing members of the Board for the exceptional job and commitment towards PCEP.

We are truly grateful also to the outgoing President (Ton van der Giessen) and Vice-President (Marc Jamin) for having invested significant time and energy in the growth of PCEP and helping chart our future and deliver further growth.
